“Freshening up” the Murchison East Town Entrance
For some years members of the Greater Murchison Community have been hoping and planning to beautify the roadside from the Highway turn off and railway station to the bridge. This has been a long-standing item on the Murchison Community Plan.
The aim of a project to do this is to create a welcoming, inviting entrance to our town, for locals and visitors to enjoy.
Towards this aim the Murchison Community Plan Committee have secured funding and engaged landscape architects Louise Costa (Design by Nature) and Melissa Stagg (Stagg Design) to create a landscape design.
We want you! to come and share your ideas about how you would like that section of road vegetation to look* and to be involved in the project. The landscape designers are in the preliminary stages of this work, so now is the time to come and share your ideas….
How: There will be a meeting with the landscapers and interested residents to discuss options and ideas for that roadside
Where: In the library at the Murchison Primary School
When: Monday 16th July, 6.00 pm
Further information: Contact Damien at the Murchison Post Office.
*please note we will not be talking about road surface or other road issues.
