The Dhurringile display was of great interest to many visitors who came to the Heritage Centre over Easter. Helen Newton officially opened the new display as her father Jack Lowry farmed the land surrounding Dhurringile Mansion for many years and Helen grew up on the property.
This temporary display will be in place until we close for our winter recess mid-June, so if you weren’t able to get there over Easter, call in on any Saturday morning from 10am to check it out!
If you belong to a group and would like to visit at another time during the week, simply contact Janet on 5826 2363 to organise for us to open up specially. We can provide morning or afternoon tea, slide show presentation on a variety of topics and a stroll through the gallery. If your group comes on a bus, we can arrange for a town tour with a local guide hopping aboard to explain Murchison’s unique history.
Hope to see you at the Heritage Centre, 4 Stevenson Street, soon.
