At Dhurringile PS, we have endeavoured to make the remote learning periods as normal as possible. School starts at 9am, just like it does when we are physically at school, the only difference being with students logging into our class virtually. Lessons are given and the students still complete the work while part of the virtual class. During recess and lunch times, the students log off from our class to go eat and play before logging back on for the next lesson.
During our recent remote learning, we were also able to have some of our specialist teachers join us online to deliver their lessons. The students had a lot of fun following up with the library lesson from Miss Smith about fairy tales. They are very keen to show her their finished videos this week in our fortnightly lesson.
To assist in letting potential families know about what Dhurringile PS has to offer, we have distributed information packs to every 4-year-old kinder child at the local kindergartens. We kindly ask that families firstly make sure that they receive their pack from kinder and secondly that they look to see what we can offer for their child’s education.
