Not many at last meeting but a very informative one with our President, Brian O’Meara giving an update on our recent bus trip to Bendigo to see the Great Stupa, which from my point of view, plus everyone else’s was really educational as well as interesting and informative. The Great Stupa is still in the process of being built but for anyone who hasn’t been there I can assure you it is really worth seeing.
Yes, we are also planning another coach trip probably around mid year, before the real cold weather sets in. Stay tuned for more details. This trip would probably be to Tocumwal. On our way home we plan on calling at The Big Strawberry, Koonoomoo. If you wish to know more about this trip then come to our next meeting. If you don’t attend meetings you wont know what the club has planned or intends to do. So how about getting out of the house for an hour or two and support your local club which you are supposed to be a member of, don’t leave it up to the dedicated few. Yes, we are also waiting on the support for this club from Murchison & District residents. If Tatura can give our club support why not Murchison?
Monday, 6 June, 2016 will be our next hot luncheon prior to the monthly general meeting. Luncheon starts 12.30 p.m. Meeting 1.40 p.m. If attending the luncheon we request that you supply either a hot main dish, or dessert. Both if you so wish. This all helps with catering and is very much appreciated. Luncheons are a great time to come along and see what our club can offer you in the way of interests and friendships. So why not come to one of our luncheons days. Luncheons are held prior to general meetings every second month. As the next luncheon is 6 June, the following luncheon would be the first Monday in August. Our meetings and luncheons are always held on the first Monday of each month. Easy to remember hey. Everyone needs to socialise, so take a couple of hours out of your day, come along, relax, make new friends, most you may already know anyhow. After meetings we enjoy coffee/tea and a chat.
News regarding our club is usually in The Tatura Bulletin, as well as the Waranga New but for any further information this
may be obtained by contacting our Secretary, Judy Williams. Phone 58262192.
