Playgroup families are enjoying the beautiful surrounds of the Murchison and District Pre-School play-yard and been busy with lots of activities outside – water play to keep us cool in the very hot summer months and now using bikes and physical activity to keep us warm coming into the cooler times.
We have had messy activities such as finger paint, shaving cream, water pouring fun, and different styles of painting. Most of the activities are simple and can be done at home with little money needed to have fun. Mother’s Day was a time to make something special for Mums and Grandmothers.
Lately we have been using the old fashioned method of raking the leaves up – using a rake not a blower-vac. The children and adults alike have enjoyed the opportunity to play in the leaves, hiding under the pile and busting out surprising everyone with squeals of joy. It is great to hear the laughter of the children, out in the fresh air enjoying themselves.
I am sure the next few months we may be seeking the shelter of the Senior Citizens rooms for when the rain drives us inside. Otherwise we will be rugged up for the cool weather and having lots of fun outside.
Playgroup is on every Thursday afternoon from 1 – 3pm. Maree and I welcome you to join us for fun, afternoon tea and a chance to chat with other parents a school tour.
